Sanadkoun: Nourishing Lives, Building Resilience .
In the face of rising food insecurity, the Sanadkoun project takes concrete steps to improve nutrition and resilience for vulnerable families across South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel.
The year-long initiative is funded by le Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères and implemented by Fair Trade Lebanon in collaboration with La Guilde, Naba’a, Farah Social Foundation, Nusaned, and the Lebanese Order of Midwives.
At its heart are pregnant and lactating women, infants under two, and their caregivers. Through tailored support, Sanadkoun helps them build healthier lives and stronger foundations for their families’ future. To meet urgent food security needs, vulnerable people will receive food parcels, hot meals, or vouchers: a lifeline for households who struggle to put nutritious meals on the table.
Sanadkoun also strengthens communities by giving:
- Students nutritious snacks
- Teachers and parents nutrition awareness sessions
- Farmers and cooperatives training and technical support
Rooted in solidarity and fair development, Sanadkoun stands as a model for community-driven resilience, weaving together immediate relief and long-term empowerment to build a healthier, more self-reliant Lebanon.
