Fair Trade Lebanon & BIAT: Supporting Farmers and Small Businesses

Across Lebanon, farmers, cooperatives, and small businesses are keeping their communities alive: working, producing, and sustaining local food systems even in the face of uncertainty.

Fair Trade Lebanon is committed to standing alongside them. Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Business Incubation Association in Tripoli (BIAT), the two organizations are joining efforts to strengthen livelihoods across the country.

On the ground, this means working directly with producers and small enterprises to increase production, open access new markets, and reinforce the value chains that connect their work to the wider community. This partnership combines hands-on experience, technical guidance, and established local networks to provide support that is practical, consistent, and built for the long term.

The goal is not simply to help communities get through today. It is to position them to grow beyond it.

At the heart of this work are people. The farmers, entrepreneurs, cooperative members who continue to show up, produce, and keep their communities moving forward. This partnership exists to make sure their efforts are not made alone.
