Sanadkoun – Promoting Nutrition and Resilience for Vulnerable Communities

Sanadkoun is a year-long project funded by le Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères and implemented by Fair Trade Lebanon, in collaboration with La Guilde. It works to improve the nutritional well-being of vulnerable populations in South Lebanon, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel, focusing on 4,135 pregnant and lactating women, infants under 2, and their caregivers. To tackle immediate food insecurity, 7,500 vulnerable people will receive food parcels, hot meals, or vouchers.

The project also supports schools, providing nutritious snacks to 780 students and nutrition training for teachers, parents, and students. Meanwhile, 200 farmers and 4 cooperatives already adopting agroecological practices will receive training and support to boost local availability of healthy, climate-resilient food.
