ARADINA – Cultivating the Future with Traceable, Sustainable, Solidarity and Integrative Agriculture

ARADINA is a four-year project, funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and implemented by a consortium led by CIHEAM Montpellier with Fair Trade Lebanon and Action Against Hunger. It promotes Lebanon’s agroecological transition by improving soil health and water management, and fostering biodiversity and climate-resilient farming systems. The project also encourages circular economy practices in rural communities across Bekaa, Baalbeck/Hermel, and Akkar.

It aims to strengthen farmer skills and practices, empower cooperatives and SMEs, and improve access to local and international markets. By integrating the ecological, economic and social dimensions of agroecology, the project promotes fair growth, creates sustainable jobs, empowers vulnerable groups, and applies gender-sensitive approaches. As a result, ARADINA boosts farmer incomes, fosters social cohesion, and influences national policies that secure sustainable and resilient rural livelihoods.
