FTL and UNESCO Join Forces to Support Sustainable Development in Lebanon

The Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO and Fair Trade Lebanon have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in education, cultural heritage, sustainability, and community development.

Through this partnership, both organizations will work to promote environmental awareness, sustainable agriculture, responsible consumption, and knowledge-sharing among students, teachers, farmers, producers, and local communities across Lebanon.

The collaboration will support initiatives with UNESCO Associated Schools and local communities, including training programmes, awareness campaigns, and activities that connect education with practical action. It will also contribute to preserving Lebanon’s agricultural heritage and promoting traditional knowledge and sustainable practices.

By combining institutional expertise with local experience, Fair Trade Lebanon and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO aim to create opportunities that strengthen skills, support livelihoods, and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for Lebanon.
