Livelihood Emergency Cash-for-Work Support to Conflict-Affected Communities in Baabda and Baalbek
Through this seven-month Cash-for-Work project, funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), Fair Trade Lebanon is creating short-term income opportunities for conflict-affected IDPs, returnees, refugees, and vulnerable host communities across Baabda and Baalbek, while responding to concrete needs identified at the community level.
In partnership with local municipalities and community stakeholders, 633 participants will contribute to the cleaning of public spaces, waste management, irrigation canal rehabilitation, and the maintenance of shelters and community assets. By linking livelihood support with visible improvements to shared spaces and local infrastructure, the project helps households access much-needed income while contributing directly to the communities in which they live.
